History

In 1992, Canet 66 Swimming launched the foundations of a circuit by associating its meeting with that of Barcelona to create the “Mediterranean Grand Prix”.

In 1994, a new step was taken: the Principality of Monaco joined forces with Barcelona and Canet to found the “Mare Nostrum”. This tripartite circuit aims to bring together the three most renowned meetings in Europe to make it the first international circuit in a 50m pool.

Such a unique circuit in the world of swimming, confirmed today by the presence of a host of international swimmers, is an exceptional technical offer for coaches with 3 very high level meetings grouped together in 8 days.

All the countries of the world come to participate in the Mare Nostrumswimming tour.
